architects. students trade contact information with a local professional
and meet once or twice a month for lunch, meetings, and site tours. |

arts ball |

beaux
arts ball is the annual bash thrown by AIAS for KSA students right
before spring break. more info on this year's big party will be
announced closer to the event. |

/ resume / portfolio information sessions |

this
year, in conjunction with AIA columbus, a series of seminars will
be held dealing with building professional skills for interns,
most notably on the IDP process, refining your resume, and building
a portfolio that will be noticed by prospective employers. |

competition |

each
year, at the end of spring quarter, AIAS participates in the AIA
columbus sandcastle competition during the columbus arts festival.
many design firms from around the area compete for various awards
by building the best sandcastle sculpture fitting the year's theme. |

school design seminar |

the
high school design seminar pairs professionals, AIAS members,
and high school students looking to enter the architecture field
to study a design problem and produce creative proposals. the
seminar takes place over three consecutive saturdays during spring
quarter. past seminars have focused on downtown housing and expansion
at the columbus zoo. |

month from september to june, AIA columbus holds a monthly meeting
with a speaker and dinner. AIAS members are admitted free and
it's a wonderful way to network with area architects. |

supply kits |

each
summer, AIAS sells supply kits to sophomores recently admitted
to the KSA. it provides an easy and affordable solution for incoming
sophomores to purchase the supplies they need while proving to
be a fundraiser for AIAS activities throughout the year. |
